FSA-TWP Update for Thursday, April 23 2009Greetings There's not a whole lot of news to report, the burning bans are still in effect but at least we got a bit of rain lately. I will contact the FAA/PBI tower next week about the waiver availability for the Okeechobee field & a possible site in Indiantown, just SE of the Martin power plant. The landowner is very supportive of our "cause" but of course there are other entities involved-- nothing is ever as simple as, "Sure, y'all go on out there & have yourselves a good ole time!" | |

Several club members got together at Rick's house for a build session on Saturday, April 18th. The Rudi's brought the Quasi-glassed sonotubes, which turned out great & are ready for priming. The Skonk Werkz team worked on cutting & gluing the built-up rib components for the wings while Don Bitz worked on his Buccaneer-6 Level 3 Certification project, for a possible L3 attempt at LDRS this summer.Click on the link below for more pics from the Tawp Seekrit Skonk Werkz! |

CALLING ALL SOUTH FLORIDA ROCKETEERS |
FSA-TWP wants YOU-- to join us for some high-powered fun! Our club holds rocket launchings once a month in South Florida. We are NAR- and Tripoli-sanctioned and insured. Club members build and fly everything from beginner kits with 1/2A motors, scratchbuilt sport models, contest birds, scale models, on up to 12' tall monsters weighing 50 pounds or more with M motors.
