The Women's History Coalition was founded in 1983 by a group of women in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Its primary purpose is to sponsor special programs and events as well as coordinate and promote those of other community groups during Women's History Month which is nationally celebrated each March. It also augments other projects relating to Women's History throughout the year.
The Coalition has a multi-ethnic Board of Directors elected by its membership annually and all its programs are accomplished by volunteers. Activities have been supported by members, community contributions and grants from the County and many community agencies have provided support services. | |

Tuttle, the founder of the City of Miami. It is through the efforts of Evelyn Shea that the statue this logo represents was selected to give to our WOMEN OF IMPACT. The reception honoring Women of Impact will be held next March. It is a Women's History Coalition event celebrating Women's History Month.
